April 21, 2015

Crosby & Higgins LLP has successfully resolved a breach of contract dispute on behalf of its client, a licensed physical therapist, in a lawsuit originally brought by his former bookkeeper. In its complaint, the bookkeeper alleged that the client had breached certain loan agreements between the parties, spanning several years. After appearing in the action, Crosby & Higgins LLP immediately sought an accounting, asserting numerous affirmative defenses, including breach of fiduciary duty. Shortly thereafter, Crosby & Higgins LLP was able to successfully negotiate a satisfactory settlement agreement on behalf of the client and the action was discontinued with prejudice.
