October 17, 2007 -- Crosby & Higgins LLP has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Kathy Knight-McConnell against PPX International, Inc., in a breach of contract action arising out of the sale of the original EMI master recordings of Jimi Hendrix and Curtis Knight. The lawsuit, filed in the Supreme Court for the State of New York, County of New York, alleges that Ms. Knight-McConnell and PPX entered into a fee agreement pursuant to which PPX agreed to pay Ms. Knight-McConnell a substantial finders fee commission on any transaction involving PPX International, Inc.’s catalog of music resulting from Ms. Knight-McConnell’s introduction to any party with whom a transaction was thereafter consummated. According to the complaint, Ms. Knight-McConnell entered into the contract with PPX and thereafter made the introduction for PPX that ultimately led to the sale of at least 33 master recordings from its catalog for reportedly $2.5 million or more.  The lawsuit seeks substantial damages and an accounting related to the transaction.
