Brendan Schmitt is an associate at Crosby & Higgins LLP, where he focuses in all aspects of business and commercial litigation. Mr. Schmitt received his law degree, cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in 2011, where he was a Dean’s List recipient, a Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholar, a Staff Member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal, and a member of both the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Program and the Federal Litigation Clinic. His law school studies concentrated in corporate matters, including corporate reorganizations, securities regulation, and corporate finance. Mr. Schmitt received his B.S., magna cum laude with high distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University where he concentrated in Business and Labor and Industrial Relations.

In addition to business litigation, Mr. Schmitt is interested in motion and trial practice. Before joining Crosby & Higgins LLP as an associate, Mr. Schmitt worked as both a summer associate and a law clerk at Crosby & Higgins LLP. Mr. Schmitt also completed a Judicial Externship with the Honorable Debra Freeman, District Magistrate for the United States District Court for Southern District of New York.
